I am trying to figure out on what I should do to get certified as a Data Steward but there is no way I can figure it out yet. No idea why it was meant to be this complicated.

There is role-based certification, including for Data Steward. The UX for Collibra University is a shocker, but if you hunt around you'll find it. https://university.collibra.com/pages/164/certifications
