AWS Lake Formation to Collibra Integration

Hi Team,

Is there any licence cost involved to use this service ? And as per the documentation it states this requires to use meta model given in the package, what if we have already ingested the data using Glue jdbc driver, how can his plugin work?

Hi Vani,

Are you are referring to this integration https://marketplace.collibra.com/listings/aws-lake-formation-to-collibra-integration/

In that case you will need a license for Collibra Data Catalog.

There are some additional asset types and attributes required for this integration to work. As far as I’m aware the Glue JDBC driver will use the OOTB asset types, so they should not interfere with this integration.

Kind Regards,
Bas van Reeuwijk

Thanks a lot for your response.

Yes, I am referring to the same integration. As per the documentation, it requires a separate community structure , I am confused how does this work for separate buckets with separate community structure.

Does this integration requires a Job server ? I can see a dependency on Collibra Integration Library , Can you please let me know if any of this integration steps requires a separate job server ?
Please clarify on this.

Hi Vani,

The domains to which the Assets are upserted are set in the properties file. So to use separate communities for different buckets, you would need distinct configurations.

No jobserver is needed. It is a stand-alone integration.

Hi Bas,

Thanks a lot for your response.

In the package provided , there are no workflow files available. There are no .bpmn files to deploy the workflows but workflow flow diagrams are available.
How else these workflows work?

Ca you please help me on where to find those workflows?

Hi Vani,

The workflows have not yet been completed.

Hi @bas.van.reeuwijk

Thanks a lot for your response.

As this is a community offering, can we expect the completed workflows version any time sooner? Is there any committed timelines available or we should develop workflows from our end? The logic is not quite clear from the documentation of developing workflows.

Thanks,
Vani
