Data Intelligence Cloud functionalities (edge, assignments, etc.)?

Is there any info about the functionalities of the Data Intelligence Cloud ?
Despite attending the data citizen '20 product release, reading blogs and the july 30 Data Intelligence Cloud product announcement, I cannot find any information about the new features of the Data Intelligence Cloud.

What is the edge service and its technical architecture? What can it do?
How will data provisioning (checkout basket) be implemented?
How will database registration happen (and fully qualified names allowing multiple schemas in domains)?
What is happening with assignments?
Is there any backend replatforming leading to better performance/scale? (i.e. graph database, message broker…)
Are there any UI improvements for managing technical metadata (i.e. guided stewardship, cataloging APIs, etc)?

At the moment there has been a lot of noise and little signal. I was surprised to see cool announcements like this google blog post: https://cloud.google.com/blog/products/data-analytics/cloud-data-governance-collibra, but I could not link it back to any documentation in the Collibra community website.

Does anyone have any more information or advice to get this info?
Documentation would be GREAT.

Hi Arthur,

As shared in the product roadmap webinar of July 30th, we will be moving to a continuous delivery model, where functional and non-functional updates will be released on a monthly basis. We will gradually deliver enhancements to allow our customers to get more immediate access to the critical features and non-functional updates that they need. We will work to provide a smooth and gradual evolution of our underlying architecture so that it has minimal impact on how our customers use Collibra. (A recording of the webinar is available here for your reference.)

This means that the features of Collibra Data Intelligence Cloud will be delivered gradually, instead of in a single major update. We have a rolling 4 month roadmap that will be updated on a regular basis to provide visibility of upcoming features. The incremental updates we are making to both the software and the infrastructure will address scalability in a progressive manner.

We have already started delivering some of the product enhancements announced at Data Citizens '20 (Lineage support for ETL, Increased coverage of metadata and lineage connectors and critical search enhancements). As we deliver additional functional and non-functional capabilities, we will make documentation available.

In the meantime, we will follow up offline to address your specific questions.

Thanks,
Susanna

Any updates upon this please? Currently the Data Intelligence Cloud functionalities are a huge blind spot for me (also in terms of roadmaps), I see and hear a lot of non-official stuff about it, also that some green-field customers are already working with it. But existing customers still have to wait. Personally I would like to have serious clarification in this as it impacts further internal roadmaps, resource allocation and stakeholder deliveries.

Thank you in advance
Kind regards
Axel

@axel.schots.telenetgroup.be any updates on this? Did you get any info proving or disproving the rumor?

I see the latest release 2020.11 is supposed to have been released on november 4th, but I don’t have information about it. Does anyone have any idea about what the enhanced UI is actually going to look like?

https://productresources.collibra.com/docs/cloud-rn/2020.11

I have no idea what to tell my internal stakeholders except “I don’t know, we’ll find out when it gets deployed”.
