Relations Data Element - Data Attribute - can they be automated?
Does Collibra support the creation of automated relations Data Element - Data Attributes whenever I create a new Data Element? Otherwise, I understand that for each Data Element in my catalog, I have to create all the corresponding Data Attributes along the flow manually? Thank you.

Hi Leyre,
Do you mean when you link one data element to a data attribute and that you want collibra to recognize all data attributes that are upstream/downstream linked to that data attribute. For all these linked data attributes automatically assume they link to the same data element?
Important to consider here is are there any transformations done? This way you can’t be sure anymore that a data attribute has the same meaning. If you have a way to get this from your attribute mapping in your mapping specification. I suppose you could build a workflow to automate that.
We have a “Guided stewardship” capability that actually does a similar thing. This does start from classifying physical data so the set-up is slightly different. You might want to look into that or get in touch with your customer success manager if you would like to continue this discussion.
